Middletown Animal Hospital is seeking a capable small animal or mixed animal veterinarian for our practice located in Northern California wine country, 2 hours north of San Francisco. Our doctors and staff are long term, mentoring, supportive and collaborative making for a positive and rewarding work place. Our 3-doctor veterinary hospital is newly remodeled but long established, and offers the very latest technologies: UWTM/Rehab, Laser Therapy, Laser Surgery, PRP, ECSWT, New Digital Thermal Imaging, Complete Dental Suite Sopix Digital Dental Radiology, DR Digital Radiology, Cat Friendly Practice, New Small Animal US, New Equine US, Stance Analyzer, Iso/Sevo Anesthesia, ADS Ventilator, Pulse Oximetry, Capnography, Doppler BP, Abaxis Blood Analyzers, Heska Infusion Pumps, Syringe Pump, Orthopedic Surgery, Electrosurgery, Equine Mechanical Dentistry, Equine Inhalation Anesthesia, and all the rest. Our beautiful 4,000+ sq ft free standing facility on 5 acres includes dog/cat boarding, a modest on-site equine facility (stalls, stocks, round pen), horse pastures, and an ambulatory truck. We are exceptionally well equipped and strive to provide top level veterinary care.
Candidates may select small animal or mixed animal care. Compensation is equivalent to urban Bay Area practices but housing (and COLA) is affordable, so home ownership is much more attainable. Our veterinarians enjoy a high quality of life with a 4.5 day work week (4 days one week/5 days the next) and standard work hours 8:30am-5:30pm.
The practice is in a semi-rural area of desirable southern Lake County, serving a population base of approximately 15,000 people in a ten mile radius and bordering Napa County. Sacramento, Berkeley, and SF are two hours away; Santa Rosa and Napa are forty five minutes away; Davis and the Pacific Ocean are 1 1/2 hours away; And, Calistoga, Clear Lake and Lake Berryessa are twenty minutes away. Middletown is adjacent to the heart of the Napa Valley and offers many amenities and a very high quality of life. We have the cleanest air in California as well as a Mediterranean climate and beautiful countryside! Great bicycling, horseback riding, lake sports, and hiking, plus excellent schools, minimal crime, and world class wines. A “best place to live” in many ways, including affordable housing!
