Veterinary Assistant Full Time

Skylos Sports Medicine is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, team-oriented, full-time Veterinary Assistant for our Ellicott City, MD locations.

The successful candidate will possess a professional work ethic, a positive compassionate attitude, and excellent communication skills. In addition to superior patient care, our assistants should also enjoy providing client education as this is integral to our practice.

Founded by Drs. Peter and Faith Lotsikas, Skylos Sports Medicine is a privately owned orthopedic and rehabilitation specialty practice that provides a unique concierge level of care for patients and their guardians in Ellicott City and Frederick, Maryland.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assisting with patient evaluation and examination
Assisting Technicians throughout the surgical day
Patient Restraint
Equipment maintenance and sterilization
Administration of medications and treatments
Client education and communication

Veterinary Assistant Job Requirements:

Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience
Team oriented yet self-motivated to problem solve and think ahead
Reliable work attendance
Motivated by educating peers and clients
Driven by providing excellent customer service and the best patient care possible
Willingness to learn and grow

Four day work week with no on-call or weekend duty!
